So what does having well-converting relationship-based marketing funnel mean exactly?

It sounds like a lot of words…

But it means that for every single visitor, there is a crystal clear path on how they can go from being just a visitor all the way into becoming a customer.

And I say “all the way” because it is a process. You won’t do well trying force your sale on the first interaction.

Here’s an outline of what the process looks like:

1.) Create amazing free content.

The first step is to attract visitors, and one of the best ways to do this is to drive traffic to a valuable, relevant piece of content.

Your product or service is made to solve a big problem, so you want this content to help your audience chip away at it.

The more you over-deliver and blow them away during this first interaction, the more they will like, trust, and respect you moving forward.

2.) Convert visitors into subscribers.

Your absolute top priority with any visitor is to turn them into a subscriber.

You need to invite them join your ecosystem, otherwise they’ll be gone forever.

You can do this by optimizing all of your content for conversion.

Each page should have a clear, enticing Call-To-Action.

Each blog post or piece of content should include a highly relevant resource (called a Content Upgrade) that encourages the visitor to subscribe.

3.) Convert subscribers into raving fans.

Even if someone has consumed your blog post and downloaded the bonus resource, they still may not be ready to pull out their wallets and hand over their hard-earned money.

This is where you need to make your subscribers love you.

You don’t want to just be another email in their inbox.

You need to build the relationship.

What quick wins can you provide to your potential customer?

Then deliver these quick wins day after day…

Checking in to see how they’re doing and if there’s anything you can help with.

4.) Convert raving fans into customers.

If you have done #3 well enough, this will be the easiest part.

#3 was all about delivering so much value, that purchasing your product or service is simply the next logical step.

No fake scarcity, discounts, countdown timers, one-off product launches needed.
